Our beginnings were humble.

DeAraugo & Lea Electrical Contractors began in 1983 with just two passionate electricians. Under the guidance of the late Director, Steve DeAraugo, it flourished into one of Bendigo's best electrical contracting companies. Today, after 41+ years, Steve's sons, Lachy and Toby, proudly carry forward their father's legacy. Committed to local operations, we are honoured to employ Bendigo's finest electricians.

Our Team.

  • Lachy

    Lachy is an A-Grade Electrician, based now in the office, managing the boys & quoting your jobs!

  • Toby

    Toby is an A-Grade Electrician & primarily works on our commercial & sports lighting projects.

  • Steve

    Steve is an A-Grade Electrician & has been with us since 2021. Steve is based in the office, estimating & project managing.

  • Jacob

    Jacob is an A-Grade Electrician & has been with us since 2023. Jacob is based mostly in the office, estimating & project managing.

  • Shane

    Shane is our Contracts Administrator he has been with us since September 2025. He enjoys classic cars and playing drums and guitar.

  • Joel

    Joel was an A Grade electrician but how now become a Project Manager and spends more of his time in the office.

  • Helen

    Helen is the smarts behind our accounts and will step up to help with other admin tasks in the office too. Helen has been with us since 2022. Helen enjoys travelling and playing tennis in her spare time!

  • Charlotte

    Charlotte is our Admin Assistant & has been with us since 2023 when she started her Certificate III in Business. She's an asset to Team-Office! Charlotte is a self confessed “Swifty” and enjoys playing netball!

  • Donna

    Donna is our Health, Safety & Wellbeing Officer & has been back with us since 2022. Donna keeps our team and OH&S processes spick and span!

  • Adrian

    Adrian is an A-Grade Electrician & has been with us since 2023. Adrian primarily works on our commercial & sports lighting projects.

  • Ben

    Ben is an A-Grade Electrician & has been with us since 2023. Ben primarily works on our commercial & industrial projects. On the weekends, you’ll find Ben on the footy field!

  • Ben H

    Ben is a 1st year apprentice & has been with us since starting his apprenticeship. Ben will be another all-rounder to add to the team.

  • Brodie

    Brodie is a 2nd year apprentice who commenced his apprenticeship with us. He commenced with us in February 2025 and enjoys motorbike riding competitively on his weekends.

  • Cameron

    Cameron is an A Grade electrician who primarily works on our commercial and industrial projects.

  • Claire

    Claire is a second year apprentice who moved to Bendigo to commence her apprenticeship with us. She primarily works on our commercial and industrial projects.

  • Darren

    Darren is an A Grade electrician who has been with us since March 2025, he primarily works on domestic and commercial maintenance and is a mad Hawks supporter.

  • Hayden

    Hayden is an A-Grade Electrician & has been with us since 2022. Hayden primarily works on maintenance.

  • Jake

    Jake is an A-Grade Electrician & has been with us since 2022. Jake primarily works on our mechanical & commercial projects.

  • Jake E

    Jake is a second year apprentice who is based in Mansfield working on our commercial job there.


  • Joel G

    Joel is an A grade electrician who is also based at Mansfield working on our commercial job there.

  • Jordan

    Jordan is an A-Grade Electrician & has been with us since 2023. Jordan primarily works on our commercial projects. Jordan likes to DJ on the weekend at night spots around Bendigo!

  • Kyle

    Kyle is a qualified A Grade electrician and primarily works on our commercial and industrial projects and plays footy on the weekends.

  • Lachy M

    Lachy is an A-Grade Electrician & has been with us since 2023. Lachy primarily works on our commercial and industrial projects.

  • Mark

    Mark is our handy trades assist who helps out here there and everywhere, a jack of all trades.

  • Mason

    Mason is a Trades Assist & has been with us since starting his apprenticeship. Mason is learning the ropes to be an all-rounder. On the weekends, you’ll find Mase on the footy field!

  • Mitch

    Mitch is an  A Grade electrician who joined us in September 2025, he primarily works on our commercial and industrial projects.

  • Ned

    Ned is an A Grade electrician who joined us in September 2025 and primarily works on our commercial and industrial projects.

  • Oliver

    Oliver is a 1st year apprentice who commenced with us in August 2025 and primarily works on our commercial and industrial projects.

  • Rach

    Rach is an A Grade electrician who joined us from Melbourne in March 2025.  She primarily works on our commercial and industrial projects.

  • Ricky

    Ricky is a 4th year apprentice who joined us in April 2025, he primarily works on our commercial and industrial projects. Ricky enjoys playing football on his weekends.

  • Riley

    Riley is a 2nd year apprentice & has been with us since starting his apprenticeship. Riley is learning the ropes to be an all-rounder.

  • Ruben

    Ruben is a 4th year apprentice - soon to be qualified & has been with us since starting his apprenticeship. Ruben is learning the ropes to be an all-rounder.

  • Sam

    Sam is a 1st year apprentice & has been with us since starting his apprenticeship. Sam is learning the ropes to be an all-rounder.

  • Shaun

    Shaun is an A-Grade Electrician & has been with us since 2012. Over the years, Shaun has worn many hats but is now based in the office, running our maintenance & project managing.

  • Tannar

    Tannar is an A-Grade Electrician & has been with us since 2024. Tannar primarily works on our commercial and industrial projects.

  • Tom

    Tom is an A Grade electrician who has recently move to Bendigo and commenced with us in June 2025. He primarily works on our commercial and industrial projects.

  • Zac

    Zac is our Communications Technician who works on all things data, fibre, CCTV & AV.   He started with us in November 2025.
